Overview
Another of my ‘forgotten’ lenses, discovered when I was cataloguing my collection, probably came in a lot with another camera I purchased along the way. Weighty and well-constructed, and fairly fast for a long lens. Pop up shade, nice to have when you have a large front element like this. And a very good user lens. As I’ve mentioned before I don’t have too much occasion to use a long lens like this but it’s nice to know I have a good one should I need it.
Besides the nice sturdy construction, I see that the 8 aperture blades are slightly curved, making the aperture more circular, which results in pleasing out-of focus areas.
Usage
The A-M switch puts it in Auto aperture or Manual (stop-down) mode. Pop-up lens shade.
